To celebrate 2019 – International Year of the Salmon, we invite you to join Professor Ken Whelan, Research Director with the Atlantic Salmon Trust, to learn about and debate the plight of our iconic Atlantic salmon within their native range in County Wicklow. Our geology and rivers are perfectly suited to support thriving populations of salmon and historically this has been the case. Yet with every year that passes they are becoming Increasingly more rare.

Where have all the salmon gone?
Will they ever return?
Can we do anything to help them?

Refreshments and a beautiful film of the salmon’s life cycle start at 7.00pm. Professor Whelan’s presentation will commence at 7.45 sharp followed by Q&A.

Thursday the 14th of November 7pm
